A founding member of The Monarchs, J Sir has also maintained membership in other local groups such as the Lair De Sade, Conquest Society, and West Coast Power Exchange (WCPX) for over a decade.

An active community representative, he has presented numerous classes, workshops and discussions on various BDSM techniques and topics including single-tail whips, flogging, hot wax, fire play, and plastic wrap bondage.

J Sir considers himself both a perennial student and mentor in the rapidly-expanding field of kink, and travels regularly to BDSM, Fetish and Spanking events and conferences around the country to learn and grow from the perspectives and views held by other regional groups and players. He strongly believes that each scene is ultimately about the connection between the participants and must be conducted with clear intention regardless of the activity.

He is a supporter of diversity and individualism within the Leather and BDSM community, including each member's right to express their kink in their own personal way.
